The Minuteman Insurance Agency has been serving the NJ, PA, DE, and MD areas for over 20 years. The agency was incorporated in 1985 when the Thomas family purchased it. Prior to 1985 the agency was an assigned risk automobile agency only.
In 1992, spurned by a desire to grow Minuteman Agency, Carl Thomas Sr. decided to leave his executive position with a larger firm and took the position of the agency’s CEO and President.
In 1995, after graduating from Rutgers University, Carl Thomas Jr. decided to join the family agency at which time focus was placed on expanding the agency’s markets, increasing the agency’s portfolio of companies, and increasing the agency’s commercial lines volume. In 2004, Carl Thomas Jr. became the agency’s President while Carl Thomas Sr. maintained his position as C.E.O.
The agency now represents multiple auto, home, life, health and commercial lines carriers. The agency’s size is now 25 times it’s original size and continues to grow. We at Minuteman Agency believe that it’s our knowledgeable staff, philosophy of doing business, and God’s grace that has enabled us to get where we are today.
